The American Screen Company, AMSCO, began
as a window screen
manufacturer in Miami, Florida, in 1949. In 1953, AMSCO acquired Metal
Products Corporation, a roll-forming and fabrication business that
began operations in 1938 in Chatsworth, Illinois.
AMSCO relocated to Chatsworth the same
year to better serve our growing
customer base in the window and door industry. This brought about a
name change to Homeshield Industries and, in 1963, a merger with
Nichols Aluminum to form Nichols-Homeshield. In 1972, AMSCO was reborn
as a separate division and relocated to our current home in Rice Lake,
Wisconsin. In 1989 Nichols-Homeshield was acquired by the Quanex
Corporation, who have allowed AMSCO to expand our manufacturing
capacities, technology and customer base.
AMSCO is an industry leader supplying
unique assemblies and components
to a variety of customers in markets that demand high quality, on-time
delivery and state-of-the-art material technology.
AMSCO's processes include roll forming,
plastic extrusion, fabrication,
assembly and RollTrusion, a unique proprietary process that combines
metal roll-forming and plastic extrusions into a single bonded process.
AMSCO is an ISO 9001 certified company
and takes great pride in
assuring our customers' satisfaction and long-term success.

In 1976, Roy Anderson began his cold
heading business with the simple
premise of producing a superior product, on time. In 1992, he was one
of the nominees for the National Small Business Administration's "Award
For Excellence" which recognized his company as one of the top small
business subcontractors offering outstanding quality and service. After
twenty two years in business, Anderson Manufacturing has grown from a
19' X 19' garage operation into a 52,000 square foot modern facility
operating two shifts daily.
Anderson manufacturing produces cold
formed terminals, contacts, pins
as well as standard, shoulder and semi tubular rivets. It also produces
engineered fasteners and components for a variety of industries
including automotive, electronics, furniture, battery, appliance, house
ware and hardware. Our product range, which encompasses more than 1,500
different items, has been instrumental in maintaining the balanced
growth of our business.
State of the art forming equipment and
high quality raw materials are
used to produce our wide variety of products. Due to the continual
improvement of cold heading technology, we are constantly evaluating
and updating or replacing our equipment as required. With a broad range
of single and multiple die progressive headers, Anderson Manufacturing
is able to produce parts without the need for costly secondary
operations, and, in many cases, offer an alternative to screw machine
components.
Anderson Manufacturing firmly believes
that quality begins with the
operators of our cold heading equipment. Our trained operators use
precision tools, computers and technologically advanced equipment to
assure that the final products meet our customers' specifications.
Even though Anderson Manufacturing
produces a superior product, our
many long term employees realize the effort and teamwork necessary to
maintain our leadership role. It takes on-time deliveries and advanced
methods of manufacturing and design to remain competitive in today's
marketplace. These factors, coupled with strong customer relationships
which are based upon trust and support, are vital to ensure our
company's continued growth and success.

CAM Manufacturing is a consistent and
dependable source of machined
parts, fabricated assemblies, special equipment, tools and fixtures and
engineering design.
CAM services many different markets
including: Aerospace, Automotive,
Medical, Consumer, Construction and Industrial.
Our typical services include short runs
of hard to machine alloy parts,
difficult shaped fixtures, and close tolerance assemblies. The company
remains locally owned and has grown consistently over the last 15
years. The owners are still employees of the company. The company's
market segmentation is currently about 54% aerospace related, 2%
medical, 8% automotive, 3% architectural, 17% consumer, and 16% general
industrial markets.
The share of business each segment
provides to CAM will change but all
areas will grow in sales volume. The segmentation provides a more
stable market environment for CAM, in that counter-cyclical business
will smooth out volume irregularities from business cycle to business
cycle. The company uses internal sales effort almost exclusively,
because of the intimacy demanded of the customer vendor relationship.
CAM also seeks out subcontractors with which to place business. The
effect of this is to have the capability of providing services beyond
the capabilities of the CAM production system. The management structure
is in place for considerable sales growth.
The people side of the equation includes
the three owner's average over
20 years experience in the machine trade. The bulk of employees at CAM
are well seasoned in the machine trade. Each person brings his or her
own unique capabilities. Whether it is CNC machining experience,
Unigraphics 3D modeling, machine building, quality control, shop
management, welding and fabrication or manual tool room expertise, the
CAM family is up to the task.

Die-Tech, Inc. manufactures precision
metal stampings for the
electronics, medical, automotive, military, aerospace and
telecommunications industries. We specialize in product design
assistance, rapid prototyping, practical die construction, and long
term production of high quality, cost-effective precision metal
stampings.
Our philosophy is that precision metal
stampings do make the difference
in the quality, consistency, and ability of your organization to meet
your customer's expectations. Rejections of non-conforming components
eat up time, energy and profit. Poorly designed products do not take
advantage of the ability to integrate miniaturizing, fixturing,
handling, locating, or orienting features in the metal stamping.
The metal stamping process starts with
product engineering. Die-Tech
prefers to assist your staff with design early in the process. The best
solutions can be achieved before hard-earned dollars have been wasted
on inferior designs. Stamped prototypes can be created and used to
build working samples for testing and evaluation. When a design is
found that simplifies and improves the current state, then the
production tooling and die design follow.
Current software and manufacturing
techniques allow Die-Tech to design
and deliver sophisticated metal stampings within 4 weeks. "Impossible"
metal stampings take a few weeks longer. Certified quality systems and
control of the entire manufacturing process ensure that your
expectations of quality, delivery and investment are met.

Rochester, New York was a hub of activity
in the 1950's as pioneers
such as Eastman Kodak, Haloid (later become Xerox), Bausch & Lomb and
Gleason Works strengthened their positions. Initially, these companies
were self-sufficient, but as time went on, leaders of these
organizations made the decision to focus on what they did best and
began outsourcing work which could be done more economically on the
outside. As a result of these outsourcing activities, small companies
began emerging in the Rochester area.
In 1954, Mr. Bernard Woodward Jr. founded
Dynak, a research
development/manufacturing firm., comprising of inventors, draftsmen &
mechanics. Soon afterward, Dynak becomame recognised as "the Premier
Research & Development Firm" in the Rochester area, a reputation well
deserved by a company which augmented the efforts of Rochester's
industrial leaders. Through the course of participating in many
projects of various nature, Dynak has come to touch nearly every

Plastronic Enclosures, Inc. (PEI), is the
successor to Globe Plastics,
which began operations in 1993 as the first US supplier of low volume,
no-tooling, custom plastic electronic enclosures.
Throughout those years, we have designed
and produced thousands of
electronic enclosures encompassing a wide array of features and
functions. We have supplied product for every major industry
classification including medical, telecommunications, computers, test &
measurement, photo-reproduction, marine, space & aviation, automotive,
software development, and OEM machinery. We have produced enclosures
for flat panel displays, hand-helds, bezels, cabinets, desk tops,
instrumentation, and much, much more.
On January 1, 2000, we changed ownership,
took on a new name, and
eventually moved to a larger, more modern facility where we have
installed a new state-of-the-art 3D CAD/CAM system, as well as new
customized manufacturing machinery that together allow us to handle the
most complex and demanding jobs.
We design and manufacture low volume
custom and off the shelf design
plastic electronic enclosures. In lots of 10 to 10,000, our unique
process provides affordable high quality plastic electronic enclosures
with no tooling, dies, molds, or other capital intensive equipment.
In all sizes, shapes, and styles, PEI
offers an affordable alternative
to high cost custom injection moldings, poor-fitting 'off-the-shelf'
boxes, or unappealing and outdated metal housings.

Manufacturing of large run quantities and
refined processing control
makes sense. By stocking large quantities of shank styles we are able
to produce a higher quality tool more efficiently. When you mass
produce an item in doing a proper setup and concentrate on maximum
consistency, cutting the margin of error is enormous.
Precise Metal manufactures high speed
steel tooling, there are no other
product lines manufactured or sold here. We do not make transfer
fingers, dies, inserts, or any other perishable tooling. We have a
drilling capacity for vent holes, knock out pins and coolant supply
holes that may be required. All coatings and surface treatments are
available through us.
Precise Metal excels in the field of
quality tooling for many reasons.
One of the many reasons is by not having different levels of quality
for each customer. There is no excuse for us, other than doing our very
best for every customer. Our customer base keeps us on point with all
of the latest standards in quality tooling for today and tomorrow. We
are ISO 9000-TE compliant.

Quanex was founded in 1927 as a Michigan
corporation under the name of
Michigan Seamless Tube Company. Its principal operation was redrawing
used boiler and condenser tubes for resale as refrigeration tubing.
From the beginning, the company's
strategy has remained constant, while
its products have changed to meet customer needs. Quanex has steadily
grown its business by focusing on specialized, manufacturing processes
to produce value-added metal products for original equipment
manufacturers.
Quanex's growth moved forward with the
purchase of other specialized
metal manufacturing companies and the sale of operations no longer
aligned with the company's evolving strategy.
As part of the company's strategy to
diversify, Quanex entered the
aluminum business in 1989 with the acquisition of Nichols-Homeshield.
Construction of an innovative, scrap-based mini-mill for the
manufacture of aluminum sheet began in 1990, with production beginning
in 1992.
With the addition of its aluminum
products business, Quanex began its
strategic transition to become not just a steel producer, but a
manufacturer of specialized metal products.
In 1996, Quanex purchased Piper Impact, a
manufacturer of highly
engineered, impact-extruded steel and aluminum products. The steel tube
and cold-finished steel bar operations were sold, and Quanex
effectively exited these commodity-based businesses.
Today, Quanex's tradition of growth
through internal and external
expansion continues. Celebrating its 75th year in business in 2002, the
company has adopted a market driven strategy with concentration on
customers in two segments - Vehicular Products and Building Products.

Reed Tool & Services was established
in February of 1993 and was
incorporated in April of the same year. Starting out in a small shop in
Rock Island, IL. The business soon purchased a 5600 square foot
building in July of 1993 located in the shadow of John Deere Harvester
Works in East Moline, IL. Along with the new shop came Reed Tool's
first CNC Lathe, a Mazak QT-18. A second CNC, a Mazak SQT-18, was added
in January of 1994. Production tripled in a matter of six months and
continues to increase.
President and primary stockholder, Harold
(Hal) Reed started the
business with over twenty years experience in precision machining, tool
and die making and tool designing. Reed Tool does anything from hand
design prototypes, CNC production runs, or fabrication of all types.
