Ortho-Dynamics Orthotics Laboratory has designed, engineered and
manufactured high quality foot orthotics since 1988. This is our only
business. Our core business is the fabrication of custom
(prescription) orthotics, servicing Podiatrists, Orthopedists and
other Foot Care Specialists throughout the United States and Canada.
In 1997, in an attempt to provide the consumer with high quality over-
the-counter foot orthotics, we introduced a line of pre-molded
orthotics. Our pre-molded foot orthotics are true orthopedic inserts,
not flimsy rubber insoles. Your typical store bought insoles may
provide some comfort and cushioning, but little (if any) arch support
and biomechanical control. Our orthotic shoe inserts provide
functional control and support as well as shock absorption, comfort
and protection; many of the same therapeutic benefits found in custom
orthotics, but at a fraction of the cost.
Our pre-molded foot orthotics (orthodics, arch supports) help control
abnormal foot motion, especially excessive pronation. Over time, this
motion (when the arch collapses too much and the foot rotates too far
inward) can lead to the development of conditions such as Achilles
tendonitis, bunions, heel spur, metatarsalgia, Morton's neuroma,
plantar fasciitis, heel pain, post-tib tendonitis, shin splints,
tarsal tunnel syndrome, knee pain (chondromalacia, iliotibial band
syndrome), hip pain and lower back pain.
We offer a complete line of pre-molded foot orthotics, available for
different footwear, different activities, and different foot
conditions. They are available in men's and women's full sizes. If you
are a half size, we recommend ordering the next full size larger. If

Rothschild's Orthopedic Appliances, Inc. was founded by Vernon
Rothschild whose personal experience led to a commitment to create
superior prosthetics. Vernon began working in prosthetics in 1965,
shortly after the amputation of his left leg below the knee. He was
serving in the U.S. Marine Corps and received an honorable discharge.
He then went to work for the prosthetic division of the Veterans
Hospital in New York City.
In 1977, Vernon founded Rothschild's Orthopedic Appliances, Inc. in
Forestville, Maryland. He was joined by John Fox,
Orthotist/Prosthetist and later by his son Russell and his daughter
Kelly, graduates of Florida International University. With the final
