speed production testing, accurate repeatable measurements and large DC
bias currents.
Examples of custom designed testing instruments include the fixtures on
the right. The first fixture measures both the travel distance of a
switch before it actuates and the force required for actuation. The
unit on the far right right applies a reproducible shock to a solenoid
in order to determine if it will be prone to nuisance tripping in its
operating environment.

Tom Reichenbach, was a youngster and was already making transformers
with his father, Ed.
Edward Reichenbach's experience in the audio transformer business goes
back to Altec Lansing during World War II. Starting there, he designed
many transformers which ended up in their equipment. There are some
interesting pictures of Ed at Altec Lansing on the Cork Board. After Ed
left Altec Lansing he manufactured audio and power transformers and
inductors on his own. Eventually, Ed formed Reichenbach Engineering and
developed a line of transformers which became ubiquitous standards in
the pro audio industry. Tom worked with Ed until 1979, when he formed
CineMag. CineMag was originally located at Reichenbach Engineering, but
after a few years outgrew the facility.
In order to obtain the very best results in an audio design, it is
imperative that each and every detail of manufacturing be closely
watched. The smallest deviation from ideal manufacturing processes will
result in product which does not meet our criteria. For this reason, we
do all manufacturing in our own facility at Canoga Park, California.

Founded in 1974 Jensen Transformers, Inc., is a manufacturer and
developer of high performance audio transformers. Tens of thousands of

Deane Jensen, the original founder, embarked on a quest in the early
'70's to unravel the shortcomings of audio transformers. He realized

work focused on audio transformers and their interface with system
electronics. Jensen designed transformers having the response of a

Transformers' development lab and office was an apartment in Hollywood.
By 1980, the transformers had become the industry standard facilitating
a move to larger offices. Jensen now resides in Van Nuys, California.
The Jensen slogan "Bringing Science to Sound", is not used lightly.
Deane Jensen received Mix magazine's prestigous lifetime achievement
award posthumously in 1990 for his important contributions to the
professional audio industry. Today, the Jensen staff includes several
engineers expert in analog circuit design and transformer applications.
Research and development is performed on site in a quarter million
dollar state-of-the-art laboratory. Jensen engineers use some of the
most sophisticated computer aided design tools available, including
COMTRAN®, a linear circuit analysis and optimization program developed
by Jensen and used by thousands of engineers worldwide. Important
Jensen innovations include the unique input stage design used in the

The late Anthony J. Foderaro Sr., on the premise that there was a
better way to produce a defect free transformer, founded the V&F
TRANSFORMER CORPORATION in 1963. He reasoned that if you give employees
a well-lit, clean environment with an emphasis on craftsmanship and not
on quantity incentives, quality would follow. Our plants are clean, air
conditioned, and filled with a family atmosphere. Quality springs from
our people and is channeled by a disciplined, formal quality assurance
program. Our in plant environment is designed for controlled
flexibility that provides our customers with the overwhelming service
that they deserve.
The Foderaro family built on their father's foundation and began an
ambitious program to become renowned for their quality and service. In
the nineties they completely changed the plant layout in their Bartlett
facility to provide the flexibility that overwhelming service would
require. V&F then submitted to a formal "Quality College" that
confirmed our "less than .001% customer rejects". An aggressive
capitalization program followed that brought our manufacturing
capabilities to the leading edge.
V&F has now firmly developed our capabilities on a global basis. We
plan to become the "worlds very finest source for magnetics.

Wirebenders Manufacturing - Manufacture coils, transformers, and
inductors.
In our 9600 square foot Phoenix facility, we make custom transformers
and similar wire wound electrical parts. The markets we serve are
primarily avionics, space, medical, and instrumentation. This
diversification helps us avoid laying off trained people when there is
a downturn in any segment of the economy. We are not a high volume
house, our primary strength is our ability to make your engineering
concepts into products and deliver reasonable quantities in relatively
short periods of time.
Many of our Customers - we always capitalize that word - have been so
happy with our services that they have 'adopted' us. We often have
parts in their hands by, or before, the time we have quoted a firm
price or even received a PO. Our rejects are counted in PPB - Parts Per
Billion and our on-time delivery averages around 98%.
We presently have 2 engineers on our staff and we design about half of
the products we make. We take a lot of pride in our 'small family
atmosphere.'
