Agriculture - Import and export products

Bee Trailers Inc. is a family owned business that was founded in 1977 by
Bobby and Brenda Harrell. Before breaking ground on the first building,
President Bobby Harrell dedicated his business to the Lord. It is this
strong foundation that Mr. Harrell believes has brought this company through
many trying times.
Although the company's purpose was originally building and repairing farm
type equipment, a downturn in the farming industry in the early 1980's
turned the attention towards horse trailers. A course was set and followed
to produce a high quality trailer at an affordable price to the consumer.
They have been able to maintain this goal through an unnumbered amount of
innovative changes and improvements to the Bee trailer over the years.
Despite expansion and growth in the company, it has been the philosophy of
Bee Trailers not to build the most trailers, but to simply build the best.
Today, with over 40 years of manufacturing experience under his belt, Bobby
Harrell is proud to offer what he feels is the best trailer available on the
market. With his wife Brenda, two sons Ken and Kevin, and daughter-in-law
Dwalla together in the company, they intend to continue the tradition of
building the finest in equine transportation for many years to come.

owners. They believed they could capture a share of the marketplace by

importantly is the customer care endorsement. With this motto as a guide CM

possum belly trailers, slat side possum belly, straight and shallow drop
livestock trailers (in lengths to 53'), bulk commodity trailers, a complete
selection of gooseneck livestock trailers, horse trailers for every area of
the equine market, and many types of truck bodies for livestock, grain and
farm commodities. Eby products are sold by a country-wide dealer network in
the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico.
We continue to grow, thanks to the support of a large customer base. Our
main manufacturing plant and corporate headquarters in Blue Ball,
Pennsylvania includes more thatn 55,000 sq. ft. situated on 9-1/2 acres.
In 1990, we opened a second manufacturing plant and sales office in Ohio and
have recently expanded that operation.
M.H. Eby, Inc. has experience steady growth. Eby products are recognized for
their high quality, strength with reduced weight and minimum maintenance.
Both of our locations provide repair service and parts, sell and service
Timpte bulk commodity trailers, and distribute many types of related truck
equipment and accessories. The Pennsylvania location also sells and services
Great Dane Super Seal refrigerated trailers.
M.H. Eby was started in 1938, when Menno H. Eby, Sr. bought a small wood
working and chair shop in Blue Ball. He doubled the shop size and began to
manufacture livestock bodies, a market niche where quality craftsmanship and
the ability to provide custom features were important factors.
Upon Mr. Eby's retirement in 1972, the firm was purchased by his son, Menno
H. Eby, Jr., who incorporated the business in 1974. The growth continued
through three expansions of his father's original shop before the company
was moved to its present location in 1984.
Originally Eby products were made primarily of wood and steel. In the early
1970's, Mr. Eby, Jr. pioneered the switch to aluminum construction. The use
of this corrosion-resistant material, coupled with the company's innovative
designs, have continued to set new standards in the industry.
Today, we are big enough to supply virtually any need for agri-
transportation equipment. However, our commitment remains unchanged: to
service our customers with the same care and quality that first made us
successful.
Our success can be attributed to the skill and dedication of our work force,
many of whom are long-term employees, as well as to the loyalty of our
valued customers. We pride ourselves on being a good place to work, and
strive to remain a caring neighbor to the surrounding community.

The Shipman family founded Sundowner Trailers, Inc. in 1976 to produce and
sell quality horse and livestock trailers. Though the setting has changed
from the hay barn in which the first Sundowner trailers were built to the
state of the art manufacturing facilities now used, the goal is still the
same: to be the benchmark for craftsmanship in horse, stock and sport
utility trailers.
Gary Shipman had the experience and Larry Shipman had saved a little money
while attending Southeastern Oklahoma State University and working nights,
so Gary, Larry and John decided they would start a business. Later in 1976,
after investing money, land, and advice in the business, their father, Wayne
Shipman, came on board, developing sales programs and providing further
necessary advice.
Many were the days the Shipman brothers found themselves working past
sundown in order to meet pressing production deadlines, hence the name
"Sundowner." Some nights were even spent in the trailers when they'd fall
asleep. At the time, the boys did every manufacturing process: from the
original welding construction to painting, trim, and finishing. It has been
said that success is not a destination, but a journey. This holds true at
Sundowner Trailers. Even the company name reflects the dedication and
determination that were present from the very beginning, contributing to
this "journey of success."
Meanwhile, Jerry Shipman, another brother, was working for an industry in
Durant, and, while the three brothers wanted him to join them in the
business, he was somewhat concerned as to whether the business would
survive. However, in 1980, Jerry joined the Company to help with production,
and later assumed responsibilities of purchasing.
Today at Sundowner, you'll find that we're still a family business that has
grown by leaps and bounds. That growth can be attributed to strong
leadership in the manufacturing of quality SunLite, Sport Utility and Living
Quarters trailers as well as to our ongoing commitment to remain simply the
best.
During 1997, the Company completed construction of new plant facilities that
accommodate an assembly line process. The new process allows each phase of
the manufacturing of Sundowner trailers to take place as it is conveyed
through each work area, eliminating the former time-consuming process of
moving the trailer between production bays. Consequently, a much higher
degree of quality has been realized as the new processes are fine-tuned.
Added benefits include the dramatic reduction in work-in-process inventory
and quicker response time to customer orders. The new facility encompasses
about 200,000 square feet and has more than doubled previous production
capacity.
The Company's research and development, production, and sales and marketing
functions work hand-in-hand to develop the right product for the right
market segment, produce it with quality and cost-effective methods, and
market the product to a customer base looking for innovations from one of
the leaders in the industry.
A major product milestone came when Sundowner introduced a Living Quarters
option in their trailers. Besides having an area to transport horses, these
trailers also include a bedroom area, kitchen with a stove and refrigerator
and a bathroom with a shower. In 1996, the "Slide-Out" version of the Living
Quarters trailers began production. The name Slide Out suggests its function
whereby the sidewall section of the trailer expands to give more living
space when using the trailer. The Living Quarters are manufactured and
installed in Elkhart, Indiana, by Sundowner Interiors, Inc.
Additionally, Sundowner was one of the first in the industry to utilize both
powder coating and SunCoating. Powder coating is a method in which an
electronically charged powder coating is sprayed onto the trailer frames to
help prevent wear, corrosion, and chemical action. Powder coating also adds
a high-gloss finish that is not only beautiful but also durable and
resilient. SunCoat is a spray-on two part protective liner similar to truck
bed liners that is extremely durable and provides an enormous amount of
protection to the horse compartment of the trailer.
In our continuous effort to remain on the cutting edge of technology,
Sundowner has purchased several robotic welding systems and very accurate
computer operated cutting systems. This equipment maintains accuracy of
component parts and ensures consistent welds as well as allows better
utilization of personnel.

Over fifty years ago, a family of fine Swiss watch makers began
manufacturing operations in America. The new company, Val Products, Inc.,
grew quickly and diversified its product lines. Growth was based on a two
part formula, quality and service to the customer. With unwavering loyalty
to these principles, the next generation of the Stuedler family has
continued to build the Val image and its product lines. Today, Val is the
world leader in supply of all forms of poultry watering systems, both for
cages and deep litter facilities. Through further diversification Val has
extended its reach with Val Environmental Systems. This division's products
include high capacity ventilation fans, evaporative cooling systems, fogging
equipment and light traps to control breeder chicken lighting. These systems
may be controlled by a control panel, Val GainTRAC , which is designed to
simplify 'state of the art' poultry management.
Val's leadership in manufacture and supply of poultry watering equipment is
based on many years of development and testing in the Company's own poultry
farms. This is combined with the latest computer aided manufacturing
machinery in Val plants. The Val nipple drinker is crafted using the highest
quality stainless steel. The equipment parts are made and tested in plant to
a tolerance of two-ten thousandths of an inch [0.0002"]. Val poultry nipple
drinkers do not drip or leak. Therefore, they do not require drip cups under
each nipple as do those of most competitors. A good nipple drinker is a
sterile source of fresh drinking water uncontaminated by other birds or
insects. If a cup is required under the nipple, chickens inadvertently drink
from the cups and insects feed in the cups causing contamination and rapid
disease spread. Sophisticated poultry operations cannot accept such risks.
Cups under nipple drinkers are not acceptable.
The Val Roaster Nipple has many unique patented features which set it apart
from the competitors. The interior is made up of a stainless steel pin which
is 40% larger than standard and therefore holds on to the water better (less
dripping). The pin and a stainless steel ball are seated in three positions
in a heavy stainless seat. This assures leak proof, long life. Val systems
installed 16 years ago are still operating and in good condition. Day-old
birds find an abundant water supply immediately. Mortality in the first
seven days of growing birds can be cut by half using nipple drinkers over
bell or trough drinkers. This assures a very rapid payback on investment.
Only Val utilizes a patented Universal Saddle that mounts to the bottom of
the pipe, but brings the stem in at an angle. This assures that no
contaminants can enter the nipple drinker. As well, no build-up of calcium
occurs in the pipe caused by the obstruction of a nipple connection in the
bottom of the pipe.
Val has designed, and produces its own exclusive pressure regulator. To
control supply, and assure chickens receive sufficient water without wet
floors at all ages and times of year, it is absolutely necessary to use
pressure regulators. Val's regulator is five times more sensitive than any
other available in the market. This assures all nipples in the entire line
will have equal water supply at all times.

A nutritional ingredient manufacturer, Kemin Industries, Inc. is a privately
held corporation, founded in 1961 by R.W. and Mary Nelson.
The fledgling business — initially called “Chemical Industries” — was a
family effort beginning in 1961, based on developing innovative agricultural
products and marketing them throughout the mid-western United States. These
early products included mold inhibitors and flavors and grew to encompass a
full line of ingredients for animal feeds.
Spurred by the robust agricultural climate in the U.S. during the 1970s,
Kemin Industries enjoyed an era of rapid expansion. As agricultural
commodities skyrocketed, the distribution of crop preservatives experienced
phenomenal growth. In response, our sales force increased dramatically to
cover the whole of the United States. The Des Moines facility underwent two
expansions. A new plant was built in Texas, and we entered the global
market.
The Kemin product line expanded to meet the needs of production agriculture
around the world. Building on its early success in the U.S., Kemin embarked
on its first export sale of products during the late 1960s to the United
Kingdom and Spain. By 1973, product demand necessitated a European sales and
production site which was built in Herentals, Belgium. In 1988, the rapid
expansion of sales in Asia and the Pacific Rim countries propelled Kemin to
build a manufacturing plant in Singapore.
The early 1980s brought changes as well. A second generation of the Nelson
family renewed a focus on science - an introduction into the new science of
biochemistry. The Kemin research program was built along with the
construction of a new R & D facility in our European location. This allowed
development of a mold inhibitor for the needs of the European market.
Over the past four decades, Kemin has evolved into a worldwide organization
meeting the needs of a increasing number of industries. The unifying vision
of all Kemin companies is the commitment to improving the nutrition of the
world.
The 1990s were a significant period in moving towards this goal. Backed by
compelling research, FloraGLO® brand Lutein was introduced for human use in
1995. Kemin Foods was launched as a separate business to establish the new
market within the vitamin and dietary supplement industry. At the same time,
Nutrisurance, the Kemin petfood division emerged to address manufacturing
needs for petfood palatability, nutritional quality, and extended shelf-
life.
During the late 1990s, Kemin formed a new agrifoods company in India,
initiated ground-breaking research in biotechnology, and began production of
a rosemary-based antioxidant in the United States. Expanding into the human
foods arena, Kemin preservatives were introduced to bakeries and tortilla
manufacturers and Lutein was marketed as an ingredient for foods and
beverages.
In recent years, Kemin has seen the development of a new pharmaceutical
division in Europe, and a manufacturing facility in China. Kemin has heavily
invested in state-of-the-art research and development laboratories in the
USA, Europe, Asia, and India.
The momentum continues to this day. Recent successes have included the
successful spin-off of Kemin Consumer Care from Kemin Foods with a new
satiety aid. In addition, Kemin Nutrisurance is developing a new natural
antioxidant technology for the petfood industry.
Innovation and adaptability have been the keys to Kemin Industries’
exceptional growth and transformation. From a small entrepreneurial effort,
the Kemin organization has grown into a global company employing over 700
people worldwide, with annual sales in excess of $160 million. It remains a
privately held family company.

Muenster Milling Co., Inc., located in Muenster, Texas, is in its third
generation as a quality feed manufacturer. Muenster Milling, originally a
flour mill, was purchased in 1932 by the late Joe Felderhoff who then
started manufacturing farm animal feeds. In 1947, Joe's son Arthur took over
the company and continued the tradition of producing quality feeds for farm
animals.
Quality standards were set in the feed industry by Muenster Milling
Company's commitment to the industry. Innovative feeds are always researched
and proven before marketed by "The Feed People".
In 1974, Ronnie Felderhoff joined his father, Arthur, and has worked to
continue his commitment to quality, service, and customer satisfaction.
Experience over the last 67 years has proven that if you want the best
results, you must put the best into what you are doing. In 1989 Muenster
Milling Company installed an extruder into their operations and diversified
the products that it could manufacture. Products such as extruded horse
feeds, pet foods, ratite feeds, llama feeds and numerous other feeds are now
in-stock floor items.
New and improved feeding methods have always been of great interest to
Muenster Milling Company. Research and development of better feeding methods
are an integral part of the company plan. A Ph.D. nutritionist is on
retainer at Muenster Milling Co., Inc. to provide complete technical service
and to make sure that our company stays on top of new research and
technology in the feed industry.
Be assured that Muenster Milling co., Inc. is always here to serve you.

Stuppy Greenhouse Manufacturing, Inc. manufactures commercial greenhouses
and distributes greenhouse equipment. While we work mainly with commercial
growers; retail garden centers and institutional greenhouses also require
the quality and expertise for which Stuppy is famous. Each of these groups
is concerned with doing two things: 1) protecting their plants from the
weather (cold, heat, rain, wind, snow); and 2) controlling the environment
around those plants so that they produce an optimum return. Naturally, they
want to do this as efficiently and economically as possible.
What Stuppy does for these customers is manufacture System 2000®, Rainbow®
Plus, and PowerHouse® Greenhouses—strong, efficient structures—to house
their plants and provide them the appropriate equipment to control their
environment. “Appropriate” means the right amount of reliable equipment,

Thompson Equipment Company, Inc. was founded by Horace A. Thompson, Jr. in
1947 as a manufacturer's representative for process control instrumentation
and related equipment. Since that time, the company has expanded from this
historical base to the repair of magnetic flowmeters and the manufacture of
various process control instruments used primarily in the pulp and paper
industry.
The company is headquartered in New Orleans, Louisiana.
We attribute our success to the company's overriding emphasis on quality
customer service.
The company has supported and enhanced its representative business by
becoming a "value-added" re-marketer. The company has an engineering group
with significant skills in the process control programming environment.
These services result in the company's ability to service larger projects
that depend on customized solutions using the latest technology available.
As a manufacturer and repair facility, the Company has various areas of
expertise and influence:
In the late 1960's the Company developed the technical expertise necessary
to repair magnetic flowmeters. Today we remanufacture all brands of magnetic
flowmeters at the home office facility.
In 1979 the Company acquired the patented design of a consistency regulator
used primarily in the pulp & paper industry, and commenced manufacturing
this product under a "TECO" label.
In February, 1990, the Company acquired the design, specifications and on-
hand inventory of additional products used by the Pulp and Paper industry
resulting in the DRAINAC™ Freeness Indicator, the BRAINAC™ refiner control
instrument, and the still-to be released FLIC™, or Fiber Length Indication
Control system.
The Company continues to perform research and development to improve the
measurement capabilities of all its instruments.
